Keep it valid
It lasts two years. In the last 90 days, a maintenance exam renews it for two more. We remind you 90, 30 and 7 days before.
The exam
- 20 multiple-choice questions, then 2 use cases of 5 questions about one scenario.
- Some questions have one right answer, some ask you to choose two, and some ask for the best practice, where a good second answer earns half a point.
- One question at a time, no going back. Answers are saved as you go, and if your connection drops, you continue where you were.
- 24 of 30 points (80%) to pass. You see your score straight away; the questions and answers stay private so the exam stays fair.
After the exam
- Passed: you get an email straight away. Veridyne reviews the result and your certification is issued within 24 hours, with a second email.
- Not passed: you get your score and how a retake works. You can sit it again 3 days later, with different questions, at the retake price for 12 months.
- Renewal: the maintenance exam opens 90 days before your certification expires. After it expires, it's the full exam again.
- Checking: anyone can enter a code on the verify page. They see the name, the certification and whether it is valid, never the email.
